Taiwanese Dishes Brought to You!

Lao Lee, a Taiwanese restaurant, is located on the second floor of the building. When you climb the stairs, many square cards called “shikishi” from celebrities can be found on the wall to show their thanks to the owner of the restaurant. Famous cartoonists, rock musician, actors and actresses alike have signed, expressing their thanks to Lao Lee for the best experience they had there!

At the top of the stairs, you will find that the dining section has two levels. Don’t worry, there is no mob boss on the higher dining space, although it seems like it in the movies. You are free to go up and enjoy the top notch Taiwanese food.

The most recommended, however, is “Karasumi Champon” the signature dish of Lao Lee. Karasumi is one of the expensive delicacy of Nagasaki but the owner generously puts Karasumi on top of Champon which already have plenty of pork meat and vegetables.

The Karasumi which Lao Lee uses is raw, so the color is light yellow. The ones you see in souvenir shops are brown because they have been sundried for longer shelf life. For the topping of Champon, the raw karasumi is better because it blends perfectly with the soup, enhancing the deliciousness of various seafood tastes of other toppings. Come to Lao Lee and experience the sip of this amazing Champon soup. You will regret it if you leave Nagasaki without experiencing Lao Lea’s extravagant “Karasumi Champon”. Make a last minute dash before riding the airport bus from Chinatown!
